East Islip High School’s Tri-M Music Honor Society recently hosted its second annual Mock NYSSMA festival. Students from East Islip Middle School, JFK and RCK who signed up to attend NYSSMA were invited to perform for Tri-M members, who helped the younger musicians prepare for the big day.

“Our main goal with this event was to help students gain confidence in performing and to help students feel more prepared,” teacher Giovanna Ruggiero said. “We are so excited to continue this tradition again next year, to work together again with the young members of our music department.”
