Two East Islip High School football players were honored for their exemplary athletic performances at the National Football Foundation’s Suffolk County Chapter Scholar Athlete Awards Brunch, held April 19 at the Melville Marriott. Team captain Dylan Bayer was selected as a 2025 Golden Eleven Scholar Athlete, and Jake Simmons was chosen for the Player of the Week Team. Only 11 athletes in each of these award categories are honored from across the county.

Both East Islip students were also named First Team All-Long Island and First Team All-State.
