East Islip High School’s National Honor Society recently hosted a Winter Warmth Drive to support families in need during the Long Island winter season. With additional support from the district’s elementary schools, the community generously contributed jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, socks and vests for both children and adults.

The drive collected a significant amount of winter clothing, all of which was delivered to St. Mary’s Church in East Islip. The church will distribute the donated items to local families to help them stay warm during the colder months.

“The Winter Warmth Drive was a profound example of service and teamwork,” adviser Nicole Ingram said. “We thank everyone for their contributions and for making this project a success.”
