The Islip Terrace Fire Department recently paid a visit to East Islip’s Connetquot Elementary School for Fire Prevention Month. Students had the chance to meet the firefighters and their canine pal while exploring the fire trucks and tools.

“The kids had so much fun speaking with the firefighters, learning about their special tools and how to be safe,” Principal Nicholas Bilotti said. “But the most fun of all was meeting and playing with Max the Fire Dog.”
