Connetquot Elementary School honored family members and staff who served in the U.S. Armed Forces by inviting them into classrooms during the week of Veterans Day. Many dressed in uniform to share stories and discuss what it was like to be in the military.

“We heard a lot of positive feedback that the veterans felt welcomed by the flags and decorations within the building,” teacher Barbara Maieli said.
