RCK’s “Creative Kids” Share MLK-Inspired Work
Five third graders at Ruth C. Kinney Elementary School – Madeline Horodyski, Avery Jansen, Emelia Massa, Gabriella Spinelli and Spiros Verios – who call themselves the “Creative Kids” spend much of their indoor recess time drawing and writing quotes to help create and spread acceptance. They recently decided to share their works in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all he did to help uplift people.
“We’ve noticed that some kids are mean, so we are trying to spread positivity by sharing inspirational messages,” Horodyski said.
“I am so proud to have these young children decide to spend their free time doing something inspiring,” Principal Janet Jones said. “They also offered to help create more ‘artistic messages’ for our Kindness Challenge in February, and I am looking forward to seeing what they come up with.”
