SADD Club Pays Positive Visit to Middle Schoolers

East Islip High School’s Students Against Destructive Decisions club recently visited Christopher Padgur’s health classes at East Islip Middle School to discuss important issues such as suicide, bullying, gambling, vaping, substance abuse and cyberbullying. Club members also encouraged the younger students to making good choices and spoke about positive topics such as joining clubs and sports and being active in the community.

“It is very important that we continue to offer programs like this,” SADD adviser Bridget Lopiccolo said. “It helps when students hear from older peers that it’s easy to make good choices and turn to positive things to help you not get caught in the trap of addiction and bullying.”
